For its first participation at SARA, the As-Food team, headed by Mr. Victor NONO, founder of AS-FOOD International, struck a major blow, presenting an innovation unanimously acclaimed by the elected officials, diplomats, producer cooperatives, agro-processors and specialized journalists who visited it.
The company exhibited a complete fruit and vegetable processing plant, installed in a container, immersing visitors in the world of technology at the service of food safety and improved living conditions for producers. This initiative was warmly welcomed by SARA visitors.
Despite a timid start, the stand gradually attracted a growing number of visitors, including a number of well-known personalities: The Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Minister of Technical Education, the President of the Economic and Social Council, who is also President of the Association of Regions of Côte d'Ivoire, the French Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire, the President of the Bélier Region, the representative of the President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region in France, the President of the Côte d'Ivoire Chamber of Agriculture, the President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Regional Chamber of Agriculture, and so on. The latter were quick to express their admiration for the research and ingenuity that were evident from the moment they saw AS FOOD's mobile processing plant.
Mr. Mamadou YATTASSAYE, Managing Director of AMALI, who came all the way from Guinea to discover this new technology, had this to say: "I consider this unit to be highly innovative and in tune with our times. It responds to very real and concrete problems, as it enables producers to considerably reduce post-harvest losses." Je considère cette unité comme très innovante et en phase avec notre époque. Elle répond à des problématiques bien réelles et concrètes, car elle permet de réduire de manière considérable les pertes post-récoltes des producteurs.»
Asked about her experience at SARA, Christelle NONO, Production Assistant at AS-FOOD International, shared: "We are extremely satisfied with our participation at SARA. It was gratifying to see that visitors from all walks of life were clearly enthusiastic about our solution, describing it as innovative. This satisfaction represents a great reward for our team." The pilot unit presented at SARA will now be operated successively in several localities in Côte d'Ivoire, following the seasonality of fruit and vegetable harvests: Bélier region (Aubergine and Tomato), Béré region (cashew apple), Gontougo region (cashew apple and ginger), Tchologo region (mango) and Sud Comoé region (pineapple).
